Privacy Policy

“ScaleVerdict”, “we” and “us” refers to the operator of ScaleVerdict, a B2B software-as-a-service product for ecommerce businesses and advertisers. ScaleVerdict connects supported Shopify and Meta Ads accounts and turns advertising and store performance data into decision-support recommendations (KILL, WATCH, KEEP, SCALE).

Account and profile. When you create an account we collect your email address and the password you choose. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and stored in a protected (hashed) form; we cannot read it.

Workspace information. The workspace you create, its name, membership and roles, and the strategies, kill rules and settings you configure.

Shopify connection data. If you connect a Shopify store, we use the access you grant (currently limited to read-only product, inventory and order data) to read products, variants, orders and order line items so ScaleVerdict can calculate store sales, product costs you enter, and estimated store profitability for your workspace. We do not request or store Shopify customer records (name, email, phone or address) as part of this product data.

Meta Ads connection data. If you connect a Meta Ads account, we use read-only access to your ad account’s campaigns, ad sets, ads and performance insights (spend, impressions, clicks, purchases and related metrics) to generate recommendations. ScaleVerdict does not pause, edit or otherwise modify your Meta ads or budgets; all changes remain yours to make.

Billing and subscription information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe on its own hosted Checkout and billing pages. We do not receive or store your full card number or card security code. We store the billing identifiers and status Stripe provides (such as your customer and subscription reference and whether your subscription is active, trialing, past due or canceled) so we can manage your access to the service.

Technical and security information. Like most web applications, our hosting and infrastructure providers process technical data needed to serve and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, the pages and requests made, and timestamps.

Communications and support. If you contact us, we receive your name, email address and the contents of your message.

Notification information. If you choose to enable browser push notifications, your browser creates a push subscription (an endpoint and encryption keys) that we store so we can deliver notifications you have opted into. Push notifications are optional and can be turned off in your browser or device settings at any time.

• To create and secure your account, let you sign in, and maintain your workspace.
• To connect to Shopify and Meta Ads on your authorization and generate recommendations from that data.
• To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
• To send account, billing and service emails, such as confirmation, billing and notification-related messages.
• To reply to your messages and provide support.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To understand, in general terms, how the service is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your or your business’s information, and we do not use your connected Shopify or Meta data to advertise to your customers or shoppers. ScaleVerdict does not currently send marketing email; we may send transactional, account, billing and service-related messages that are necessary to operate the service.

ScaleVerdict is decision-support software. It does not guarantee advertising results, profitability, revenue or any business outcome. Recommendations are generated from the data your connected Shopify store and Meta Ads account provide; we do not control, and cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of, data reported by those third-party platforms.

ScaleVerdict does not currently match a specific Shopify order to the specific Meta ad that caused it. Meta ad-level recommendations are based on Meta’s own reported ad performance; Shopify sales data contributes separate, store-level information (such as an estimated store profitability figure) shown alongside it. Any such estimate is an estimate only, not an accounting, net or audited profit figure.

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe-hosted Checkout and billing pages. ScaleVerdict never receives or stores your full card number or card security code. From time to time, Stripe promotion codes may be available at Checkout; any discount they apply is calculated and validated by Stripe, subject to the terms of that specific promotion.

When you sign in, we set cookies that keep you signed in (session authentication). These are essential: without them the app cannot recognize you between pages. We also store a small amount of information in your browser’s local storage for your convenience, such as your light/dark appearance preference and whether you have dismissed certain in-app notices.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics/tracking cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time, which will sign you out and reset locally remembered preferences.

We use a small number of service providers to run ScaleVerdict. They process information on our behalf, only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — authentication and our application database.
• Vercel — application hosting and runtime.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Resend — transactional and service email delivery.
• Browser push services (operated by your browser or device vendor) — deliver push notifications you have opted into.
• Standard business email infrastructure (such as Google Workspace) may be used to send and receive support communications at contact@scaleverdict.com.

Where you connect Shopify or Meta Ads, those platforms process data under their own privacy terms as part of the connection you authorize. We do not sell information to these or any other provider, and we share information with them only as needed to provide the service or where the law requires it.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that occurs, we rely on the safeguards those providers make available for their services.

We keep your account, workspace and connected-service information while your account and workspace are active and as needed to provide the service. If you disconnect a Shopify or Meta Ads connection, we stop syncing new data from that connection and revoke or remove the associated stored credentials on our side; disconnecting from ScaleVerdict does not by itself revoke access on the Shopify or Meta side, which you can also manage directly with those platforms.

If you delete your account (see “Account and integration disconnection and deletion” below), we remove the account and workspace data described there. Some information may still be retained where reasonably necessary for billing, tax, fraud-prevention, security or legal-compliance purposes, or where our infrastructure or payment providers retain records (such as Stripe’s own transaction and invoice history) under their own systems and retention practices. Backups and operational logs kept by our providers may also persist for a limited time after deletion according to their own retention schedules, even though the data is no longer accessible through ScaleVerdict.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encryption of stored Shopify and Meta access tokens, and access controls that keep each workspace’s data separate from others. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

You can disconnect a Shopify or Meta Ads connection at any time from Connections in the app. You can permanently delete your ScaleVerdict account from Settings → Account. Deleting your account is designed to work safely even if it is interrupted and retried:

• Any active Stripe subscription tied to a workspace you own is stopped before your data is removed, so you are not billed again after deletion. Deleting your account does not automatically issue a refund.
• Workspaces you own and are the sole member of, along with their strategies, saved product costs and local Shopify/Meta connection records, are removed.
• If you own a workspace that has other members, we do not delete that workspace or its other members’ access automatically; resolving ownership first may require contacting support.
• Your membership in workspaces owned by someone else is removed, without affecting that workspace or its other members.
• Your account with our authentication provider is then permanently deleted.

As described in “Data retention” above, some billing, security or legally-required records may still be retained after deletion, and provider backups/logs may persist for a limited time under their own systems.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as asking to see it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain uses, or receive a copy of it. To make a request, email contact@scaleverdict.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If your business collects personal information from its own customers (for example through your Shopify store), you remain responsible for that information and for your own compliance with applicable law. ScaleVerdict processes the Shopify and Meta data your connections make available solely to provide the service to you, and does not independently collect information about your shoppers beyond what those connections and their required permissions provide.

ScaleVerdict is a business product and is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

We may update this policy as ScaleVerdict develops. We will change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
